Jeff Garmire

Jeff Garmire is a professional ultra runner, thru-hiker, coach, author and podcast host. In 2025 Jeff set the Fastest Known Time for the Appalachian Trail in a self-supported style, winning 2025 FKT of the Year. He has also set FKTs on the Colorado Trail, John Muir Trail, Arizona Trail, Long Trail and Pinhoti Trail among others. His book Free Outside: A Trek Against Time and Distance is about his 8 month, 8,000 mile calendar year Triple Crown.
